I have been blessed in marriage to my lovely wife, Jeannie, for more than twenty years and we have been blessed with two wonderful kids, Zach and AJ.

I grew up in a home where I learned much about the LORD. However, it was not until near the end of my undergraduate studies that the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sin and I remembered the Father's love for me that I learned as a boy. It was then that my eyes were truly opened to the LORD's grace and mercy through the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross for me and I called out to Jesus in faith and gratitude. By the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in me, I have matured in grace and am growing daily in my understanding of God's love.

I attended Truman State University for two years but completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA where I earned B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Biology. The LORD created me as a researcher and teacher and I worked as a biochemist for nearly 20 years. I now use that same research drive to investigate and teach the great truths of God's Word.

The LORD has called me to pastoral ministry in the Presbyterian Church in America. The PCA is a Bible believing, Gospel driven denomination committed to serving the mission of God to reach the nations with the Good News that God is restoring His creation through the life, death, resurrection, and reign of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jeannie and I are grateful recipients of this Good News and rejoice in the privilege to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. As the church planters of True Community Fellowship we endeavor to walk in God's grace, minister by God's Word, and equip God's people to serve His mission all for His glory.

My greatest joy is to teach and disciple others to grow in their relationship with Christ and their understanding of Scripture as the gracious revelation of the LORD. I also find great joy in Cardinals baseball, playing golf, reading classical literature, experiencing art, learning about other cultures, taking walks with my wife, watching goofy cartoons with my daughter, and talking sports with my son. The LORD, our God, is the God of all of life. To Him be all glory and honor.
